Welcome to the web site of the Southwestern Chapter of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, Inc. (NAWCC), a
nonprofit and scientific corporation founded in 1943 and now serving the horological interests of more than 35,000 members
around the world. The Association sponsors a National Convention and Mart every year in a different part of the country,
drawing several thousand members. It is headquartered in Columbia, Pa.
The Southwestern Chapter has been in existence since 1955, originally serving a five state region: Texas, Louisiana,
Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. The Southwestern Chapter still serves a wide geography pan-Texas with individuals
located in 8 states. The goals of Chapter 15 are:
- To stimulate interest in timepieces of all kinds;
- To foster genuine interest in collecting timepieces;
- To facilitate the sale or purchases of timepieces by members;
- To cooperate with other individuals and with other organizations in exhibiting timepieces;
- To collect and preserve horological data and material for posterity;
- To disseminate full information regarding the mechanism of timepieces and the repair thereof.
Chapter 15 celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2010. Read the story of the
first meeting back in 1955.
Meetings and Marts are held periodically throughout the year at various locations in central Texas. Marts are limited to
members and prospective members. See Membership for more information.
A typical meeting usually consists of a one-day show in which members display clocks, watches, tools, books, and materials
for sale. There is usually an educational program on a specific topic, such as clock and watch repair, collecting, styles,
etc. Click on Upcoming Events to see the schedule and location of meetings.
The Great Southwestern Regional meeting is held annually in April, hosted by
Southwestern Chapter 15, and cohosted by Five State Collectors Chapter 80, Lone Star Chapter 124, San Jacinto Chapter 139,
and Arkansas Razorbacks Chapter 62. The Southwestern Chapter is a cohost of other NAWCC Regionals; see
Upcoming Events.
If you would like more information on the Chapter or on membership, please see the Membership
